Liability Waiver and Release

In consideration of my registration and participation in this tournament, I, for myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators, hereby irrevocably waive, release, and discharge any and all rights or claims for damages or liabilities of any kind that I may have, or that may arise in the future, against the New Jersey State Taekwondo Association, Inc., its state and district associations, the 2024 New Jersey State Taekwondo Association, their successors, officers, members, officials, agents, representatives, assigns, and all individuals involved with the tournament, including competitors and participants.

This waiver applies to any and all injuries, damages, or losses sustained as a result of my participation in, entry into, or association with the tournament, including but not limited to injuries incurred during competition, training, or preparation, as well as any medical services rendered in connection with such injuries or illnesses.

I fully understand and acknowledge that Taekwondo is a full-contact martial art and sport that inherently involves physical contact and competition, and that participation carries the risk of injury. I voluntarily accept and assume all risks, including but not limited to physical injury, emotional distress, or other damages arising from participation. I confirm that I have reviewed, understand, and agree to comply with the 2024 tournament rules and regulations, as well as all general information provided by the sponsors. I further acknowledge that failure to adhere to these rules may result in penalties, disqualification, or removal from the tournament without compensation, refund, or recourse.

I also recognize that my conduct must remain respectful and courteous toward all officials, staff, competitors, and participants. I understand that any behavior deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or unsportsmanlike may result in immediate dismissal from the premises, without compensation or refund. I agree that the orderly and successful operation of the championship depends on all participants, including myself, upholding the established code of conduct.

By signing below, I affirm that I have carefully read and fully understand the terms of this waiver, and that I enter into this agreement knowingly, voluntarily, and of my own free will. I further acknowledge that I have been given the opportunity to ask questions regarding these terms, and that I accept them in their entirety without reservation.
